How to customize which templates are available in projects. E.g. provide different groups of users with a set of templates just for them.
You can now customize which templates are available in projects. That allows you to, for example:
- Provide different groups of users with a set of templates that are just for them.
- Test new templates in a private test project before enabling them in all projects.
For each template you can control whether it will be available in projects generally or only within particular projects. There are two ways of doing that:
- Edit the group of templates that are available in projects normally, by default.
- Edit a project’s settings so it doesn’t use the default templates, and then select the particular templates that you want available in it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you create a new template and publish it, that won’t be available in any projects until you do at least one of the above.
The web app’s page Admin => Default Templates lets you select which templates are available in projects by default. All projects have the default templates available to their users, unless they have customised template settings.
Click ‘Details’ to view the group of templates that are available by default.
The details page shows only the templates that are enabled in the group.
Click ‘Edit’ to view all templates, and to select which are included.
To customise template availability in a project, go to the project’s details page,
and choose Project Templates.
If you don’t see the option “Project Templates” then this feature is not available on your server.
To ask for it, please contact APE Mobile Support.
When “Use defaults” is set to No, then you can individually select templates.
